Sharon Spence wrote, produced, directed, designed wardrobe and sets for and starred in a play when
she was six, in Monterrey, Mexico; it was a little harder to find stage crews at that time, but she had a
lot of friends who were willing to act in it, so the play at least had a cast and an audience, it ran for three
nights and actually netted about twelve pesos. She has since realized that it is much easier to work in
collaboration with others, so she has gone on to adult collaborative projects, including the "Sleep Across
America" series with Nobody Productions and the self-produced webisodic "Friggin' Family".
She principally enjoys acting, and has been in productions of "A Warrior's Christmas" and "Shakespeare
Festival" with the Grace Players and starred as Martha in "Strange Snow" and Hannah in "Night of the
Iguana"; but she also sneaks in writing, directing and costuming projects when she thinks nobody's
looking.
When she can, she spends some time with The Art of Elysium and loves doing improvs for kids at the
hospitals.
Most recently she has been attending We Make Movies events and keeping up her chops at the
Lifebook Acting Academy; and now CGETC -- can it get any better?
