The Collaborative Group Ensemble Troupe Collective knows its name is
ridiculous, but it wants you to know what it's all about. We make films
collaboratively. Decisions made for the group are made by the ensemble.
This troupe wants its collective voice to be heard.

The storytelling arts have always been collaborative. Directors,
actors, stage managers, lighting designers, grips, writers, editors,
audiences, the list goes on. We take the process a step further. Using
exercises developed from the works of Augusto Boal's Theater of the
Oppressed, Mary Overlie's Viewpoints, improvisation masters, and many
more, the ensemble develops a script that speaks with their collective
voice, and keeps every member of the group involved through the entire
process. Sometimes political, sometimes inane, always poignant and
funny, CGETC's work strives to provoke thought, inspire action, and
entertain.
